For 3D printers to produce items, they require 3D printing materials. ABS and PLA are two materials that are commonly encountered in everyday life. The contact between other materials may be lower, and it is unclear whether they can be used for 3D printing. Let's talk about some of the other types of 3D printing parts available today, as well as the fields in which they can be used.

Those classified as Class I include natural silicate materials such as clay and kaolin as well as high-purity synthetic materials such as oxide ceramic materials, nitride ceramic materials, carbide ceramic materials, and other similar materials. For direct forming to be successful, external energy must be used because most ceramic materials have a high melting point or even no melting point at all. A large number of them must be reprocessed (dried and sinterized) in order to produce the final product, which limits the use of ceramic materials in the 3D printing industry's promotional campaigns. The advantages of ceramic materials over polymer and metal materials, for example, include high hardness, high temperature resistance, and the ability to retain their physical and chemical properties over time. Thus, they have a broad range of potential applications in a variety of industries such as aerospace, electronics, automobile, energy, biomedicine, and others.

Two categories of materials have been identified: biomaterials, which include primarily biomedical metal materials, biomedical polymer materials, biomedical ceramic materials, and biologically derived materials. Natural biological tissues, also known as biological regenerative materials, are used to create biomedical materials, which are then used in the production of biomedical products. It is possible to divide the use of biomaterials in 3D printing into two categories: medical applications and consumer applications. Because of their degradability, low melting point, biological characteristics, and environmental friendliness, biomaterials are being used in a variety of applications in the food processing, food packaging, and other fields. The second category of biomaterials is being used extensively in the medical field because of their reproducibility, histocompatibility, inducement, mechanical compliance, and degradation compliance. There are three levels of biomaterial application in the medical field: prosthesis manufacturing, cell three-dimensional indirect assembly manufacturing, and cell three-dimensional direct manufacturing. Prosthesis manufacturing is the most basic level of application.

Rubber materials fall into this category. As rubber materials exhibit the characteristics of various elastic materials, such as shore a hardness, elongation at break, tear strength, and tensile strength, they are especially suitable for uses where anti-skid or soft surfaces are required. Examples of these applications include consumer electronics, medical devices, and auto interior trim parts.

Category IV includes photosensitive resin materials, which are primarily comprised of light-curing resin materials such as acrylic resin, epoxy resin, and polyester resin, among other things. Under the influence of ultraviolet light, this type of material can undergo polymerization reactions and solidification, and it is typically found in a liquid state. Structures for the aerospace industry, such as blades and gears, can be created using this technology.

Classification V includes engineering plastic materials such as ABS plastics, polycarbonate plastics and polyamide plastics, among other types of plastics. The characteristics of ABS material, which include strength, hardness, and rigidity, have made it widely used in the manufacturing and chemical industries, including machinery, electrical, textiles, automobiles, and ships. ABS is a thermoplastic polymer that is used in the production of plastic bottles. It has excellent impact resistance, thermal distortion resistance, flame retardancy, and hardness. Polycarbonate is a strong, lightweight material with excellent impact resistance. So it is well suited for the production of various automobile and light truck components, particularly in the fields of lighting systems, instrument panels, heating panels and defrosters, among other applications. A polyamide material, also known as nylon material, is characterized by its toughness, wear resistance, self-lubricating properties, and a wide temperature range in which it can be used. This metal is primarily used to replace copper and other non-ferrous metals in the manufacture of mechanical, chemical, and electrical parts, such as diesel engine fuel pump gear and water pump, high-pressure seal ring and oil pipeline. Category VI: metal materials, which primarily include titanium alloy materials, stainless steel materials, aluminum alloy materials, other precious metal materials, and other exotic metals.

Strong and heat resistant, titanium alloy is a popular choice for construction. The advantages of titanium alloy over other metals include excellent corrosion resistance, favorable low-temperature characteristics, and high chemical activity when compared to their counterparts. The material is therefore frequently employed in the manufacturing process of aircraft engine compressor parts, rocket and missile components, and high-speed aircraft structural components. Easy weldability, corrosion resistance, high polishing ability and heat resistance are all advantages of stainless steel. It is widely used in a variety of industries, including engineering and construction, food processing, catering, brewing, chemical manufacturing, and medical devices, to name a few. Aluminum alloy materials have the properties of low density, low melting point, and high plasticity. Aluminum alloy materials are used in the production of aircraft. In its current state, aluminum alloy is the most widely used alloy. In the aviation, aerospace, automobile and machinery manufacturing industries as well as shipbuilding and chemical industries, it is extensively used. Aside from the conductivity and thermal conductivity of gold, other precious metals such as platinum and palladium have the characteristics of high stability and conductivity. Electronics, chemical industry, aerospace, and other special standards for materials are some of the most common applications for these standards.

A class VII material is made up primarily of sand and gravel. The traditional functions and characteristics of gravel materials indicate that they are primarily used in buildings to fabricate some building materials or structures in the form of 3D printed structures. Gravel materials have a number of advantages in the field of 3D printing architecture, including low cost, high efficiency, and environmental friendliness.

Carbon atoms connected by SP hybrids are tightly packed into a single-layer two-dimensional honeycomb lattice structure in graphene material, which belongs to the eighth class of materials. The optical, electrical, and mechanical properties of graphene material are exceptional. It can be used to replace a wide range of traditional building materials, including wood and concrete. A revolutionary material in the future, it is predicted to be made of carbon fiber. In conjunction with the advancement of graphene preparation and graphene application technology, graphene materials have the potential to be applied to a wide range of downstream products and fields in the future. According to the Chinese Academy of Sciences, graphene devices are expected to completely replace complementary metal oxide semiconductor devices by the year 2024, and to be used in research fields such as nano electronic devices, photoelectrochemical batteries, and ultra light aircraft materials, among other things.

A macromolecular polysaccharide composed primarily of glucose, cellulose material is insoluble in water and most organic solvents, but it is soluble in acetone. It is cellulose that serves as the primary structural component of plant cell walls. celluloseWith more than 50% of the carbon content in the plant world, it is the most widespread and abundant polysaccharide on Earth. It is also the most abundant polysaccharide on the planet. At this point, researchers have concentrated their efforts on developing 3D printing methods that use cellulose, and some advancements have been made. The disadvantages of cellulose materials include their high cost, poor expansibility, and the release of pollutants when combined with plastics.
